Steve and Sharon Smith
Steve Smith has been involved in ministry for more than 52 years, beginning as a teenager. Raised in a broken home, his own journey through faith, hardship, family, and loss has shaped his desire to encourage others with a simple, practical message of hope, grace, and God’s unfailing love.
Steve and his wife, Sharon, celebrated 50 years of marriage in January 2027. They have three sons and seven grandchildren. In May 2025, they experienced the heartbreaking loss of their oldest son, Greg. Through that difficult journey, Steve and Sharon have experienced God’s grace, mercy, and faithfulness in a deeply personal way.
Steve believes that while “hope is not a strategy,” hope is the fuel that keeps the engine moving. His life and ministry are rooted in the belief that you will never get God to love you less, and you will never get God to love you more.
Steve believes our relationship with God is not based on performance. We can never do enough to earn more of His love, and we can never fail enough to receive less. God’s love, grace, and mercy are gifts we receive through Christ.
Practical, optimistic, and encouraging, Steve’s desire is to help people navigate life with greater hope and a deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness. His message is simple: no matter what you are facing, God is with you, His grace is sufficient, and there is always hope.
